Hello! I’m Aly John, and I am honored to serve the DFW area as a Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula, Breastfeeding Specialist, and Bereavement Doula. With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have supported nearly 100 births and provided education to countless families. My passion for childbirth education drives me to empower couples with the knowledge they need for a positive birthing experience. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with women facing a range of challenges, including preeclampsia, PCOS, gestational diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, incompetent cervix, preterm labor, and advanced maternal age. I have also guided many through successful VBAC deliveries and unmedicated home births. I take joy in serving in diverse settings and collaborate regularly with providers from BUMC, Harris Methodist, Texas Health, and Fort Worth Birthing Center. My commitment is to support and encourage women, helping them to discover the incredible capabilities of their bodies and their babies. I look forward to being a dedicated presence in your birthing journey.

My husband and I have been married since 2009, and have three gorgeous daughters. I love homeschooling our girls, serving at our church, cooking, music, my plants, teaching, and spending time with friends and family.

In 2013, my journey into motherhood began with the early arrival of my oldest daughter at 34 weeks, delivered via emergency cesarean due to severe preeclampsia. The initial breastfeeding period was challenging, marked by limited support and personal knowledge, leaving me feeling unprepared and overwhelmed. However, with the guidance of a wonderful IBCLC, I was able to successfully breastfeed my daughter for just over three years.

The experience profoundly shaped my path, leading me to become a Certified Birth Doula with a specialization in breastfeeding support. I completed my certification with The Doula Alliance, Redding in 2015.

In 2017, we welcomed our second daughter through a gentle cesarean, and in 2020, our third daughter arrived via a similar calm approach. Her birth coincided with the onset of the pandemic, but despite the circumstances, we were blessed with a peaceful delivery and a smooth transition home. I will always cherish the blessings we received during that challenging time, grateful for the serene moments amidst all of the unknowns.

During the postpartum period following my third daughter's birth, I continued to expand my knowledge and discovered the profound work of Bereavement Doulas. Feeling a deep call to this important role, I pursued specialized training. This journey has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, allowing me to support families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Witnessing the moments of grace and beauty that emerge from such profound grief has been an indescribable honor.

In addition to my work as a Birth Doula, I also teach Birth Restored Childbirth Education. This Gospel-centered class empowers expectant parents with a deep understanding of and confidence in God's beautiful design for birth and beyond.

My mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire parents to advocate for themselves, make informed decisions, and honor their family’s needs and values. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your unique journey.
